An Introduction

Textiles, taught by Mrs Mumby, is a subject relatively recently introduced at Priesthorpe. The subject is popular with both boys and girls, and the activities are both creative and fun. One of the most popular choices from the GCSE Technology courses, lessons teach pupils to design and make a range of different items, from kites to clocks! Learning about textiles isn't only about producing items, it also requires pupils to use their creative skills to match a product to an original idea. During the course of making these products, students learn a range of practical and design skills involving different techniques and processes to create a high quality finished product.
