Rules
for Practical Work.
Safety is always the most important factor.
- Look for the eye protection signs by the machines. If you see one
you must wear goggles.
- Whenever
you are asked to work on a piece of machinery or electrical equipment
you must always tie back your hair.
- You must
wear protective clothing over your uniform, either an apron or an old
T-shirt.
- Once
you have finished your lesson, and just before the bell goes, you must
tidy up after yourself, which in cooking would mean washing up!
- If you
have been using dyes or ink you must wash your hands once finished.
- If working
on any kind of machine you must sit in a well lit area.
- Hands
must always be dry before working on a piece of electrical machinery.
- Never
run around or act thoughtlessly when machines are being used.
- Above
all, follow all instructions carefully.
