During the week 10th - 14th March various activities took place to help raise money for the Sport Relief charity, along with raising money for our partner school in South Africa. Miss Nicholas

Thank you to all pupils who were involved in the numerous Sport Relief activities last week. Your efforts raised over £1200 - with some money still to be counted! Well done everyone!

Events that took place during the week

'Trackie and trainers' day
- Friday 14th March - come to school in trackies and trainers/sportswear - £1 donation to charity

Sporting Icons Competition - Dress up as a sports star - best/most original outfits win a prize.

Years 10/11 Sport Relief Quiz - £1 to enter, £10 prize for the winner. Take part during tutor time between Monday and Friday.

Complete the 'Alternative' Sport Relief Mile - get involved Mon, Tues or Weds. lunchtime - involves skipping/trampoline, bouncing, basketball dribbling, simple aerobics.

KS3 Interform Sport Relief Bench Ball - taking place in your PE lesson during the week.

Year 8 Healthy Bun Challenge - to take place in Yr. 8 Technology lessons - all buns to be sold at breaks/lunchtimes during the week.

Sport Relief Socks - to be sold all week in the Stationery Shop on the long corridor at break. £2 a pair.

7G - Cross Bar Challenge - anyone welcome Mon/Tues/Weds - Sprint Challenge - Thurs/Fri - see Miss Graham/Mr Herman for details.

7Ri - Mountain Bike Challenge

7RO - Rice Pudding Pledge - pupils involved in a sponsored obstacle course wearing wellies full of rice pudding!

 
OLC - the OLC have sorted out some reading books to make way for new ones. We will be selling these in the OLC for 10p each on Friday break and lunch. All proceeds going to Sport Relief.
