PRIESTHORPE SCHOOL COUNCIL

Introduction

The School Council is made up of representatives from each year group including the Sixth-Form.

The representatives from each year group take ideas from their Year Councils and put them forward at the School Council meetings.

The School Council meets at least once a month to discuss issues that have been brought to them, their main aim is to be the voice of the pupils and to make sure that the pupils' voice is heard.
As well as representatives from each year, Mrs Green and Mr Spamer come to each meeting. Mr Spamer is the Chair of Governors and he is another way in which the School Council's voice is heard.

Aims

The School Council aims to be the voice of the pupils of Priesthorpe. We look at issues that have been brought forward to us and decide what we think about the issue and what action should be taken.

We aim this year to make you more aware of what you are eating. We are working with the kitchen staff to try to make the menu more appealing and healthy for pupils.

We are also concentrating on bullying and racism in school.
