Psychology is a thriving department which has operated efficiently since the late 1980's. Priesthorpe, in conjunction with Grangefield, was one of the first Leeds schools to provide what was then the rare opportunity to study this important area.Today, most institutions with an FE facility run psychology courses, testament to the importance of this subject. At Priesthorpe, Psychology attracts large numbers of post-16 students, to whom it is offered as a specialist subject at AS and A2 level.
