End of Term Arrangements
The school year ends on Friday, 20th July. The day will be shortened to allow us to say our goodbyes to the staff who are leaving Priesthorpe this year. Following an assembly in the Sports Hall and a session with their Form Tutor, the day will finish at 12.30 for all students.

Please note the arrangements for the staggered start to the new school year. Students should arrive at school for an 8.45 am start on the relevant day.

Teenage Cancer Trust
Earlier this year, the School Council decided that the Teenage Cancer Trust would be our charity for the year, and agreed to raise money to support the work of the TCT.

During June and July, 9H have been busy selling dog tags, wristbands and T-shirts, and have helped to raise over £700 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Well done to everyone who was involved in the fundraising - and to everyone who supported them by buying something.

School Uniform
The School Uniform Guide that was issued with the recent newsletter advertised that our uniform supplier, Frank Harrison Ltd., were introducing an online ordering service. Unfortunately we have learnt from the company that they have encountered some problems in setting up their new service, although they do expect to be able to have the service available before the end of term. We, and they, apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update: For further details of the online service, click here.
Year 9 Go Over the Top!
At midnight on Thursday 12th July forty-four Year 9 students and six staff headed off to trenches sites in France and Belgium. This fantastic trip, run by Mrs Hart for a number of years, helps to bring history to life and shows pupils the realities of the First World War. There was a packed programme for the three day trip, including visits to Ypres and the Somme region. The pupils involved in the trip were selected from many eager would-be participants. Priorities for the trip are a keen interest in history and a record of good behaviour. There was an excellent group travelling this year, and a good time was had by all. Look out for the pictures here on the school website early in the new academic year!
