The school uniform for September has now been confirmed as:

  • Black trousers/skirt
  • Black shoes (not black trainers).
Further information will be sent home shortly.
EXAMS
We are now into the exam season. Year 9 pupils have finished their SATs and we were really pleased with how they coped with their first external exam experience. The English Shakespeare paper was particularly challenging, but hopefully they have all done themselves justice.

Our Year 11, 12 and 13s are revising for their really important exam hurdles and we are confident that we can support them to achieve. We have planned sessions for Year 11 students across their GCSEs, and some students are being invited for pre-exam last minute preparation sessions.
THE STEPHEN LAWRENCE EDUCATION STANDARD

Priesthorpe School is working towards submitting a portfolio during the Summer Term in the hope of being awarded with the Stephen Lawrence Standard.

The Standard is awarded to schools who are working towards promoting race equality and transforming education.

"The Stephen Lawrence Education Standard is unique because it instils in the hearts of young children the knowledge to prevent racism at an early age. It also works in accordance with the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 which places a statutory duty on all public authorities to positively promote race equality."

Students will be hearing about our progress in assemblies and producing a display for the hall. All staff and governors are committed to promoting racial harmony within our school.
