As promised, I am writing to give details of the arrangements
for the start of the new year in September.
The details for Friday 2nd September are
rather complex as we would like to have the new Year 7 in by themselves
for the first part of the day.
Year 7 will start at 8.45am
Years 8, 9 & 11 will start at 10.15am
Those in Year 10 who are going to Lightwater Valley will meet
at the Pudsey Civic Hall at 9.00am.
They are due to return at 4.30pm.
The rest of Year 10 should report to school at 11.00am.
Year 12 report to Pudsey Civic Hall at 9.15am.
Year 13 will spend time with their tutor on Friday afternoon.
They should arrive in school for a 1.15pm start.
I apologise for the rather complex arrangements but it is important
that we adhere to the times above.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind
parents of a number of uniform issues that need addressing:
1. Please buy shirts that tuck in, we do not
wish to see students’ midriffs!
2. Students should bring school bags not handbags.
3. Shoes must be sensible and appropriate - flip-flops, sling
backs and high heels are really dangerous
on our stairs.
4. Belts are for holding up trousers; we do not want fashion belts.
5. Hats are not part of school uniform. One or two students may
wear them
in summer for medical reasons only.
