PRIESTHORPE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

SEPTEMBER 2004

Dear Parents,

I trust you had a good summer, despite the wettest August for many years. It's typical that the sun began to shine and the temperature soared as soon as we returned to school.

A fuller newsletter will soon be issued, but there are some important items of more urgent news.

Our new block is open, the temporary huts have gone and we now have a large car park area in front of the school. Our Reception area is now located in the new block (the Drive Block). Visitors have their own parking area, and signs clear indicate the way to Reception. So if you are collecting a sick child, delivering a forgotten lunch or a PE kit, please report to the new Reception area. If you have an appointment with a member of staff our Receptionists will look after you until your appointment. Most visitors come up the drive, but some park in and walk from the Rockwoods. They, too, will need to report to the new Reception area, which means walking through the rear car park to the Drive Block. I appreciate this is a little further, but it is necessary.

Thank you in anticipation of your cooperation.

Yours sincerely,
C. Pickles
Headteacher
