Welcome to our department!

ICT is now considered by the Government to be the Fourth Core Subject and as such more emphasis is being placed on schools to deliver ICT as a discreet subject (a regular lesson per week at Key Stage 3). Priesthorpe has always delivered ICT this way and embraced this philosophy. As a result, pupils feel confident using computers, and the subject is very well supported at Key Stage 4.

We offer a wide range of courses at Key Stage 4 and above, which are very popular at all levels, and for several years now students have achieved grades well above the national averages. Last year was no exception, with Year 11 pupils achieving a fantastic 86% A*- C pass rate and the Year 13s achieving a 100% A - E pass rate.
